Ok, I've just finished doing what seems like the homework trail that just won't end. It was a huge trip, but I made it. Want to know what I mean, then take a look below:
Ok, it's ridiculus when an instrcutor/ teacher assigns an assignment out of no where and then expects you to have it done by a certain date and in this case, what is left of the semester which is all of 3 weeks for me. He wanted us to read this 1002 page book ( true story people) when I have 3 other classes to do work for so I did what I always do when it comes down to a crammed situation, find an easy way around it and I did. I found a website that gives the chapter summaries, Analysis, and the other part I forget that helps you understand what a certain book/assignment is all about. I got ahold of those summaries, did that craping study guide that he so suddenly sprang on us and finished it in under a day. Thank god!
This instructor (who will remain nameless) told us that it's his fault that the class is behind schedule so to make up for it, he give us a study guide for like a 100 questions and then wants us to read that book to answer those behind that. The book is as long as the study guide and if you honestly looked at it, you would agree too, but I got around it and am no longer dealing with it. Come finals time, he will get that assignment and not look back. I was pissed when I got that assignment. Even though I fall asleep in his class all the time (come on he's boring), I was all the way against doing that assignment at the last moment, but it's done. I didn't read the book, but got ahold of those summaries and did my study guide from there. If it's not good enough for him, then hey. I did what I could.
Like I said in my last entry, I'm a nice person, but when it comes to something that I am strongly against, I will not be nice becuase well, I'm against it so why be nice? So I told him how I felt about the assignment. I never got a response, but I saw the expression he had when I told him how late this was as well as inconvient considering my other finals are in just a few weeks. The only way I will get over being upset with him about this whole thing is if the final is like the mid-term, take home. :) Those are like the best. :)
But none the less, all of my homework is done from Sociology, that culture studies class (the one I've just complained about), and math, so for the rest of this weekend, I'm free and monday, when I take my personal day off, I'm not doing anything either. I'm staying in bed. I'm not even going to my culture class at 10am on monday. Don't feel like it. I deserve that day becuase this semester ran me through a course and I am happy to say, two more weeks and it's OVER!
Since thanksgiving week doesn't count as a school week since most of the university will be a ghost town due to people being with their families and leaving town to go see relatives, then it technically doesn't count to me. :) Now the week after thanksgiving week and the first week of december are the two weeks left and I'm not counting finals week either becuase once we take our finals, who's going to look back until next semester? Not me, so technically we have two weeks to get our acts together. I have mine together, I'm just going to lounge until finals so there you have it.
Well, I have a paper to edit, which technically isn't homework, so I will be back when the time is right. :)
Peace
